Line 7 is one of the longest in the Paris metro network. Like line 8, it also has the highest number of stations, with 38 stops, and, like line 13, it has a branch line. Line 7 crosses eastern Paris, with three termini: La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945 to the north, Mairie d'Ivry and Villejuif - Louis Aragon to the south. Introduced into service in 1910, it is one of the busiest metro lines and, in addition to Paris, provides access to 6 towns in the inner suburbs: La Courneuve, Aubervilliers and Pantin in Seine-Saint-Denis, as well as Kremlin-Bicêtre, Villejuif and Ivry-sur-Seine in Val-de-Marne.
Line 7 of the Paris metro offers connections to all other lines except 3bis, 12 and 13, as well as to RER lines A, B, D and E. It mainly crosses the 1st, 4th, 5th, 9th, 10th, 13th and 19th arrondissements of Paris, notably passing through Gare de l'Est. Line 7 of the RATP network also provides access to a number of must-see destinations, including the Jardin des Plantes from the Place Monge metro station, the department stores of Boulevard Haussmann (Chaussée d'Antin - Lafayette), theOpéra Garnier (Opéra station), the gardens of the Palais Royal and the Louvre Museum (Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre), as well as the Parc de la Villette (Porte de la Villette), home to the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie and the Philharmonie de Paris.
