Following the passage of the low-pressure system Herminia, traffic on several RER and Transilien lines is disrupted this Monday morning, January 27, 2025. So which lines are currently at a standstill? We take a look at the situation.

It was a dreaded storm. Winds were strong on Sunday night in Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region. Yesterday, Transilien SNCF announced on its website possible disruptions to train services due to the passage of storm Herminia in the Paris region. This Monday morning , January 27, 2025, the damage appears to be extensive, with several RER and Transilien lines at a standstill or slowing down. We take stock.

On the RER side, the line most affected is RER line A. Traffic is currently suspended between Maisons-Laffitte and Achères-Ville, in both directions, " due to a broken catenary at Achères-Ville ". According to RATP and Transilien SNCF, the estimated time of resumption is around 12:00. Note that traffic is also disrupted on the entire line, on the Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Poissy, Cergy, Boissy-Saint-Léger and Marne-la-Vallée branches.

On the Transilien network, the situation is even worse, with trains currently disrupted on 5 lines. On line H, a broken catenary is interrupting traffic between Persan - Beaumont and Valmondois, in the direction of Creil and Gare du Nord. Traffic on this Transilien line is expected to resume at around 8:30 a.m.

Another line disrupted this Monday morning by storm Herminia? Line L, where traffic is currently disrupted between Cergy - Le Haut and Sartrouville in the direction of Cergy - Le Haut and Gare Saint-Lazare. Here again, Transilien SNCF is referring to a " catenary rupture ". Trains here are not expected to resume running before 12:00 noon.

On line P, Transilien SNCF reports that traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers " due to an object blocking the track at Guérard - La Celle-sur-Morin ". Transilien SNCF estimates the resumption time at 8:30 am.

Finally, " due to an object blocking the track " on line V, traffic is interrupted on the entire line between Massy - Palaiseau and Versailles Chantiers. Here, the estimated time of resumption is around 8:45 a.m.

Trains on line J between Pontoise and Gare Saint-Lazare, and between Vernon - Giverny and Gare Saint-Lazare, are also disrupted due to a power failure. On Transilien line N, " due to a tree falling on the tracks ", traffic is disrupted between Mantes-la-Jolie and Gare Montparnasse, in both directions.

Due to all these disruptions, Transilien SNCF invites passengers to take alternative routes.
