After a summer packed with events, from festivals to Bastille Day, the festivities continue this autumn in Paris, notably the famous Pride March. Originally slated for June 27, the rally was moved to October 3, 2026 because of the heatwave. Each year, this grand LGBT+ parade winds through several streets of the capital to celebrate diversity, demand equal rights and combat all forms of discrimination. This Saturday, the festive procession will set off at 1 p.m. from the Place d'Italie.
Following this Pride March in Paris, a festive evening planned in the Marais district is scheduled. Also, « to ensure the proper conduct of these celebrations as well as the safety of the public and participants », the Police Prefecture has issued a order to temporarily modify traffic on several roads in the city center, on October 3 and 4, 2026.
In detail, “the movement of all motor vehicles is prohibited from October 3, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. to October 4, 2026 at 3:00 a.m., within a perimeter defined by the following streets in central Paris, which must remain open to traffic” :
The Préfecture de police de Paris points out that vehicles used to commit these offences can be immobilized and impounded.
