An accident on the A10 motorway occurred at around 9 o'clock this morning in the commune of Trancrainville, causing major delays on the route to the capital. According to initial reports, six people were injured in the collision between two passenger vehicles near exit 12.
A dozen firefighters from the Toury, Ouarville, Voves and Auneau fire brigades quickly arrived on the scene to treat the victims. The rescue teams secured and marked out the damaged vehicles, before evacuating the six injured.
Motorists are currently having to cope with two kilometers of traffic delays on their way to Paris. Traffic jams are likely to increase throughout the morning, particularly during rush hour. Users of theA10 are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, or to take alternative routes.
The six people injured in the accident have been taken care of by the emergency services. Their condition has not yet been confirmed. An investigation should be launched to determine the exact circumstances of this early-morning collision on this particularly busy stretch of theA10.
