He made his theatrical debut when he was just over 20. Then, in the early 1960s, he quickly moved on to television and then film. There, he burst onto the screen and enjoyed rapid success. He also shone as a director, helming films that have become cult hits. Throughout his career, he won numerous awards, including Oscars, an honorary César, Golden Globes... Robert Redford was born on August 18, 1936 in Santa Monica, California. A first-rate actor, he made a name for himself in the late 1960s and 1970s with a series of outstanding roles in Butch Cassidy and the Kid, The Sting, All the President's Men and Three Days of the Condor. An acclaimed director, he won the Oscar for Best Director forOrdinary People ( 1980).

The actor stood out not only for his talent, but also for his beauty, much appreciated by female viewers from the 1970s to the 2000s. He was a Hollywood icon, with a string of major films and minor roles in TV series.
