If you spot or hear Rafale fighter jets over Paris this Friday, July 3, 2026, don’t panic: here’s why they’re flying over.

Don't panic if you hear or glimpse two aircraft Rafale over Paris, on July 3, 2026, because it’s perfectly normal. But what exactly is happening? Of course, authorized by the Paris police prefecture, the overflight of the capital will take place this Friday between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. as part of the 250 years of U.S. independence.

A two-Rafale patrol will thus sweep over Paris as it approaches from Porte d’Orléans, then fly over the Place de la Concorde before tracing the railway corridors of Saint-Lazare, Pont-Cardinet, and Clichy-Levallois stations, and finally head toward La Défense.
