While the snow-ice alert remains in effect this Tuesday morning across Île-de-France, several metro, RER, Transilien, and tramway lines are experiencing disruptions. Here's the latest update.

The intensity of the snowstorm that hit northern France on Monday, January 5, 2026, caught many drivers off guard. Yesterday, around 5:30 p.m., over 1,000 kilometers of traffic jams were recorded across Île-de-France. Public transportation was also heavily affected, with disruptions reported on multiple metro, RER, and Transilien lines, as well as in the tram network. The bus services were also suspended this Monday evening.

Yesterday evening, the RATP activated its "Snow and Ice Plan." To prevent freezing, shuttle trains ran throughout the night. This included all tram lines, as well as some metro and RER lines that have sections above ground, in an effort to avoid ice formation. Despite these measures, disruptions are being reported this Tuesday morning across Paris and Île-de-France public transportation. Here's a summary of the situation.

In the metro, service has resumed on Line 1, but ongoing disruptions remain between Porte Maillot and La Défense due to an incident affecting the tracks at Pont de Neuilly. On Line 13, RATP reports that traffic is disturbed between Saint-Denis – Université and Carrefour Pleyel following a metro failure at Saint-Denis – Université.

Services are disrupted on the RER, with ongoing delays on Line A, between La Défense and Cergy-le-Haut, as well as from La Défense to Poissy. The disruptions extend across the entire Line B. On the RER C line, stations including Saint-Michel-sur-Orge, Ste-Geneviève-Bois, Épinay-sur-Orge, and Savigny-sur-Orge heading toward Versailles Château, St-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and Pontoise are not served until 9:30 a.m. Elsewhere on Line C, train services remain heavily disrupted.

On the RER D, Transilien SNCF reports delays between Goussainville and Melun, as well as between Orry-la-Ville and Corbeil-Essonnes in both directions. Commuters should also expect journey times to increase by up to 20 minutes, along with changes to service patterns and some cancellations.

What about the Transilien? On line H, traffic is "significantly slowed" across the entire route, except between Pontoise and Creil. Commuters on the line J should plan ahead, as services are suspended between Mantes-la-Jolie and Conflans Ste-Honorine in both directions until 9:30 a.m., with major disruptions between Gisors and Paris Saint-Lazare, as well as between Paris Saint-Lazare and Conflans Ste-Honorine — again, affecting both directions. Additionally, train services are also halted between Paris Saint-Lazare and Poissy until 9:30 a.m., with severe delays between Poissy and Mantes-la-Jolie in both ways.

Any other disruptions? Train traffic is "significantly disrupted" on Line L, affecting the stretch between Paris Saint-Lazare and Versailles Rive Droite, between Paris Saint-Lazare and St-Nom-la-Bretèche, as well as between Paris Saint-Lazare and Cergy-le-Haut, in both directions.

Delays are also expected on Line N. If you plan to travel on Line P, please note that service is disrupted between Provins and Paris Est in both directions, with slower travel times between Paris Est and Meaux. Finally, service on the entire Line V is also affected this Tuesday morning.

Regarding the tram network, traffic is currently disrupted on the T4 line due to a "signal failure at Bondy."
