Transilien line P in the Paris region is experiencing further disruption. Due to a planned strike and industrial action, traffic is likely to be heavily impacted, with cancelled trains and delays. Line P of the Transilien SNCF network, opened in 2004, serves 36 stations and 45 communes on a 252 km route. Linking Paris-Est station, in the 10th arrondissement, to the east of theÎle-de-France region and beyond to the Hauts-de-France, it crosses the Seine-et-Marne region. Highly frequented by daily commuters, line P is regularly affected by disruptions due to strikes, industrial action or technical incidents, which have a major impact on train operations.
At Gare de l'Est, it connects with lines 4, 5 and 7 of the Paris metro, as well as the RER E. With line P, you can discover many of the treasures of the Île-de-France region, including the town of Crécy-La-Chapelle, nicknamed the Venise Briarde, the Vaires-Torcy leisure park with its many family activities, Coulommiers, and the medieval city of Provins, the largest in the region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
