The first round of the municipal elections has concluded, and the final results are in for the initial vote towards Paris’s mayoralty. Here’s a list of the candidates advancing to the second round.

French voters can look forward to a new round of elections in March 2026, but this time it’s for local offices. Every six years, each city conducts these votes to choose its new mayor, and Paris is no exception. Who will succeed Anne Hidalgo as the mayor of the capital?

This time, the voting method is different! While voters will still choose from the various candidates and their platforms, they are now asked to vote twice: once for their district and again for the central municipal council. This shake-up could change the game. Remember to register on the electoral rolls in plenty of time!

Following the first round of Paris's municipal elections, five candidates have advanced to the second round. Here are the final results of the initial vote, with the next round scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026.
