This Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a major event for French space exploration is happening! At the Cité des Sciences, the public is invited to watch live and for free as French astronaut Sophie Adenot launches toward the International Space Station.

The Cité des sciences et de l'industrie, located at the heart of La Villette, invites you to watch live as Sophie Adenot embarks, the European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut, on her journey to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 starting at 10 a.m.! Don’t forget to register to attend free of charge and witness this historic launch for a French woman — only the second in history, after Claudie Haigneré, to go to space.

Deeply committed to science, the museum remains the only Parisian venue where visitors can witness this historic moment live and free of charge alongside others. The launch, scheduled for noon if all goes smoothly, will be streamed with live commentary from space experts including European Space Agency astronaut Raphaël Liégeois. This will give the public a clearer understanding of the scientific and technical challenges behind the remarkable "εpsilon" mission, which is set to span nine months.

A space-themed weekend will follow this launch on February 14 and 15, 2026, featuring a variety of activities—including exhibitions, screenings, meet-and-greets, and immersive experiences—for the whole family. This time, entrance will be included in the ticket price.
