On Sunday, March 15 and 22, 2026, voters will head to the polls to choose their future local mayors. In Paris, municipal elections follow a unique process: residents will cast two ballots—one for their district and another for the mayor of Paris. At the end of this vote, the mayors of each district as well as the mayor of the capital will be appointed.

In the 13th arrondissement, locals and workers are gearing up to vote for their local representatives. Once a working-class neighborhood on the Left Bank, the 13th has a reputation for being off the beaten tourist path.
