This Friday is Labour Day! An opportunity for many to enjoy a three-day extended weekend, and for others to take to the streets for the traditional May Day march. Every year, the inter-union umbrella calls people to hit the streets to defend workers’ rights.
This Friday, May 1, 2026, the march is set to kick off at 2 p.m. from the Place de la République in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, heading toward the Place de la Nation in the 12th. To ensure the smooth running of the demonstration, the Police Prefecture has issued an order temporarily altering the parking restrictions on several streets along the route.
