Pink October 2023 at the Institut Curie: take part in the 10,000 pouches for Curie challenge

To mark the 2023 edition ofPink October, the Institut Curie is launching a new creative challenge: French men and women are invited to create their own pouch. Pouches, small or large, phone pouches, medicine pouches, bazaar pouches... Let your talent and imagination guide you, and create with your own hands this small object, which symbolizes the fight against breast cancer and the support given to patients close to us.

This year, theInstitut Curie is organizing the 10,000 pouches for Curie operation : until September 25, 2023, participants are invited to make their own personalized pouch, and mail it to the Institute (at the following address: Institut Curie - Direction de la communication 70, rue Mouffetard 75005 Paris). You can also share your work on social networks with the keyword #10000PochettesPourCurie.

" The Institute is inviting the public to make their own pouches: secret pouches, little nothings pouches, everything pouches... A useful gift for our patients in October! (...) Individuals, associations, local authorities, companies... Take part in our major mobilization challenge, with the aim of collecting 10,000 gift bags. Let your imagination run wild as you create unique, personalized objects, whatever their size, shape or texture, with the decoration of your choice ," explains the specialistinstitute on its website.

Each pouch created and sent to the Institute will be offered to patients suffering from this disease. Every year, breast cancer affects around 60,000 more women. While cures are frequent and survival rates high, relapses are still possible. The Institut Curie is therefore hoping to collect 10,000 home-made pouches to support those women still affected by the disease.

Zip or button, fabric, wool, beads... You'll need all the tools you can get your hands on to create the most beautiful pouch that will give patients a boost this year. To your tools!
