Since its launch in 1982, the Fête de la Musique has become one of the country's most popular, festive and cultural events. Every year, concerts are held all over Paris, as well as elsewhere, including in the inner suburbs.
Comprising four departments in the Paris region - Seine-et-Marne (77), Yvelines (78),Essonne (91) and Val-d'Oise (95) - the outer suburbs of Paris host a wide range of musical events every June 21, featuring rock, rap, electro, jazz, blues and reggae.
