Nuit Blanche 2025: a moving glow-in-the-dark party on Paris's Canal Saint-Martin

June kicks off with a bang with the 24th Nuit blanche in Paris ! This Saturday, June 7, 2025, there's no question of staying at home under the comforter: we're taking advantage of the numerous events and original artistic installations that are invading the capital and its surroundings. And don't miss a performance on the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris's 10th arrondissement.

The Canal Saint-Martin links the Bassin de la Villette to the Port de l'Arsenal, near Bastille. Numerous boats ply these waters, offering a lovely stroll through eastern Paris. Along the canal, you can see the Villemin garden, the Palais des Glaces, the Place de la Bastille, the Mornay footbridge...

During this 2025 edition of the Nuit blanche, the Canal Saint-Martin is transformed into a place of celebration and art, for an unforgettable evening.   If films are leaving cinemas to be seen outdoors this Nuit Blanche, the boum is leaving clubs and private apartments to invade the streets. In an age marked by isolation, Downtown Périgord transforms the party into an experience of collective consciousness. At the heart of this celebration is a mobile sound system, inspired by the popular cultures of Kingston, where music was a tool of social struggle and emancipation.
  In symbiosis with this sound system, Juliette Gelli, multimedia artist and scenographer for Flavien Berger, has created a luminous work of art. Large, sparkling, twisting paintings become in turn light patterns, flashing architectures and swirling surfaces. From afar, these will-o'-the-wisps-on-wheels make a statement. Up close, they give visual rhythm to the dance. Every hour, a pause suspends the dancing journey, giving way to an "American quarter-hour": a disco ball pops up, projecting its sparkles onto the surrounding façades.
