Following the collapse of a diamond mine in northern Canada, several miners are trapped underground. To reach them, a convoy of trucks must haul rescue equipment across a treacherous ice road, made even more perilous by the weather and the fragility of the terrain.
Mike McCann, a seasoned pilot portrayed by Liam Neeson, joins the crew tasked with this perilous crossing. The mission grows more precarious as incident after incident piles up, and the possibility of sabotage adds a human threat to the natural dangers.
