For all video game fans, this is a very exciting project. The Last of Us, considered by many as one of the best titles in the history of video games, is being adapted into a series by HBO. After serious doubts about the accessibility of the series in France, since the partnership between HBO and OCS is over, it is Amazon Prime Video that has recovered the broadcasting rights of the series. With a rhythm of one episode per week, the series ended this Monday, March 13, with its ninth episode.
The two main characters, Joel and Ellie, are played by Pedro Pascal(The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones) and Bella Ramsay(Game of Thrones). Produced by the creators of Chernobyl, the series was highly anticipated. Fans are wondering if the story will be the same as the games, or if the series will give them the same emotions, facing the horrific atmosphere and the now cult-like slammers (the zombies of The Last of Us world) of the story.
