For its 16th edition, the Amnesty Film Festival, an event dedicated to socially conscious cinema organized by Amnesty International, will take place from Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026. The festival will feature screenings of compelling feature films that aim to highlight, raise awareness about, and expose violations of fundamental rights and human dignity. The program will address various political themes such as discrimination, international justice, migration, and more.
In addition to the screenings, these three days are an opportunity to meet and discuss with the filmmakers andAmnesty International members. Join us at the Luminor Hôtel de Ville cinema in Paris's 4th arrondissement, to discover 7 films that have been screened at the Cannes and Berlin festivals, as well as previews.
The organizers are also hosting a special day filled with key events and screenings dedicated to the Palestinian situation, including a panel titled "What Can Cinema Do for Gaza?" featuring prominent guests such as Palestinian diplomat Elias Sanbar, who is the festival's guest of honor.
The seven films presented will be followed by meetings, exchanges and debates. These dramas and documentaries from different countries are competing for three prizes: the Human Rights Grand Prize, the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize.
