Prime Video has unveiled a new trailer for season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, set to arrive on November 11, 2026. Sauron now aims to bend the peoples of Middle-earth, with the forging of the One Ring at the heart of this next chapter.
In its season preview, Prime Video also signals Gandalf’s evolution into the wizard figure familiar to Tolkien readers, while Galadriel presses on toward becoming the Lady of Lothlórien. These threads run alongside the Elves’, Dwarves’, and Men’s resistance to Sauron.
Prime Video had already confirmed that Jamie Campbell Bower would join in a regular role and that Eddie Marsan would recur. Season 3 continues the storyline set in motion around Sauron, the elven realms, Númenor, and the peoples facing the rise of evil.
Drawing on the world of J.R.R. Tolkien and set thousands of years before the adventures of Bilbo Baggins and The Lord of the Rings, this fantasy series dives into the legends of the Second Age of Middle-earth. It goes back to the origins of the conflicts and realms that run through the writer's work.
Season 3 is produced by Amazon MGM Studios. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay remain showrunners and executive producers, joined by Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell, and Charlotte Brändström, who also directs and serves as an executive producer. The first two seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are available on Prime Video.
