The Cure: the film of their concert "The Show Of A Lost World" to be seen in theaters, the trailer

While The Cure plans to tour European festivals, including Rock en Seine, in the summer of 2026, the British band led by Robert Smith will first make its comeback... in the cinema! The Cure has announced the theatrical release of its concert film " The Show Of A Lost World."

Remember, to celebrate the release of their new album "Songs of a Lost Word," The Cure gave a unique and epic show at London's Troxy on November 1, 2024. For nearly three hours, Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Roger O'Donnell,Jason Cooper, Reeves Gabrels, and Perry Bamonte played the entire new album live for the first time in front of 3,000 fans. Fans were thrilled to see their favorite band in concert after several years of absence.

This fall, The Cure's many fans will be able to experience this incredible performance on the big screen thanks to the broadcast of this concert recorded at the Troxy. "The Cure: The Show Of A Lost World is a remixed, re-edited, and remastered 4K film of the entire 31-song concert," according to a press release. "Directed by Grammy Award nominee Nick Wickham, with a new Dolby Atmos mix by Robert Smith, the film includes all 31 songs performed that night, including the entire 'Songs Of A Lost World' album live and a special five-song set celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Seventeen Seconds album," the press release continues.

A worldwide broadcast is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025, ahead of the Blu-ray and DVD release at the end of December 2025. Tickets to attend this worldwide screening have been available since November 20 at 3 p.m. (French time)via the official website. The trailer was also unveiled on November 20. Check it out!  

The Cure was originally formed in 1978. To date, The Cure has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. The band has produced many timeless hits, such as "Just Like Heaven," "Lullaby," "Friday I'm in Love," "Close to Me," and "Boys Don't Cry."
