Grégoire Ludig moves into directing with Gilles United, a romantic comedy in which he also stars. The film is slated for release in theaters on January 13, 2027, alongside Nina Meurisse, Bernard Campan, Benjamin Tranié and Sarah Suco.
Gilles Le Diben is 41 and stuck in a joyless job at a driving school in Brittany. When his wife Marie, who runs the school, has to fire him and then leaves him, he decides to chase an old dream: to become a professional footballer.
This late-career pivot comes with another project: winning Marie back. The story fuses a sporting ambition with a bid to repair a romance, centered on a character who longs to start his life over. Apollo Films handles the French distribution.
