Parisian gamers have found THE new place to indulge their passion... Discover ESpot, a brand new space dedicated to gaming in the heart of Paris, on Rue de Rivoli, open since June 2021. The 2,000 m2 establishment also features eSports, and was imagined by Robin Leproux, former PSG director and former vice-president of M6.
ESpot is "a physical place where you can come for a drink, meet other gamers, watch a competition", he explained to BFM Business last April. The aim is to make video games accessible to as wide an audience as possible. Right from the entrance, the establishment offers numerous stations with consoles - PS5s and Nintendo Switches - so you can play with friends or family, two or four people, or even more. Upstairs, there's another, identical gaming area, as well as a VIP area for intimate gaming or events.
The basement is whereESpot really comes into its own: it houses a TV studio, as well as a 150-seat arena for e-sports competitions. And for gamers, 90 PCs are available for a moment of gaming between pros or not.
For those who love the thrill of driving, there's a dedicated driving area, designed in partnership with Alpine F1, where you can climb into an armchair, steering wheel in hand and pedals on your feet, and race around the many Formula 1 circuits on offer on a large screen. A ground-floor experience that we tested and particularly appreciated: gameplay is adapted to your level, depending on the features offered by the staff. And as for handling, everything is extremely well-machined, making for an interesting immersion in car racing.
As far as prices are concerned, the establishment works a bit like VR centers, with subscriptions or prices per time slot: "When a customer comes to ESpot, he pays 5 euros for admission. This entitles him to a drink or half an hour's play time. After that, they can top up their play time individually, take out a weekend subscription, or buy 10 hours of play, which they can enjoy on any machine", Robin Leproux also explained. For parents too, a dedicated area with drinks and sweet treats is available at the entrance. And if you'd like to celebrate your child's birthday, that's also possible, as the areas can be privatized with drinks and cake, for a unique gaming moment with friends.
A new Parisian address to discover, whether you're a gamer or not!
