It's been a long time coming, and we're desperate to see the end of its nose again... At a State of Play conference held on September 24, 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled a new trailer for Marvel's Wolverine. And a release date as well, since the hero will be showing his claws in the autumn of 2026.

A game born in the imagination of the developers at Insomniac Games during the development of Marvel's Spider-Man. As Ryan Schneider, Director of Franchise, Strategy & Studio Relations at Insomniac Games explains, this is"an independent game", made by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian, both of whom worked on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He continues:"In the tradition of our Spider-Man games, our aim here is not only to respect what makes the character so popular, but also to look for opportunities to make it original and reflect the spirit of Insomniac". All of which gives you a brief idea of what the character might aspire to, and what the software might look like.
