Gamers are once again immersed in the world of this cult title, which holds many surprises in store for them, while those who experienced the first edition will be able to relive the emotion and nostalgia that helped make Final Fantasy VII such a legendary video game.

Our Preview of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth:

After exploring Midgar, the second installment of Final Fantasy VII takes us into a much more expansive world that immerses us fully in the universe of this beloved saga. From the very first minutes, this new chapter sparks our curiosity and makes us eager to dive into Cloud and his companions’ epic journey.

This time around, we’re introduced to new interaction mechanics that unfold gradually during a lengthy tutorial phase, helping players slowly get to grips with the fresh features while advancing the story. The focus shifts more toward exploration, offering a variety of side objectives that blend combat, quick-time events, and different gameplay modes—breaking away from the monotony sometimes associated with open-world design, which contrasts with the more confined atmosphere of the original.

Exploration not only enriches the experience but also allows players to tailor difficulty levels to their liking. On the combat front, new abilities make battles feel more epic, while character personalities become more nuanced, oscillating between humorous, lighthearted moments and intense, emotional scenes.

Whether in story development or gameplay, we appreciate how this installment manages to stay true to the spirit of the original game while welcoming newcomers through the remake. By blending open-world segments with more linear "tunnel" phases and offering adjustable features, the game strikes a balance that caters to a wide range of players.
