Attention voxel and construction fans... Minecraft Legends, the mysterious new creation from Swedish studio Mojang in partnership with Blackbird Interactive, is set to hit our consoles and PCs on April 18, 2023. The action-strategy game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, and integrated into the Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch. This collaboration promises to delight fans of the popular Minecraft franchise, while providing a fresh experience.

On the gameplay side, Minecraft Legends stands out as a real-time strategy (RTS) game in the Minecraft universe. Players will have to build bases, fend off waves of enemies and command legions of iconic creatures from the series, such as Creepers, skeletons and golems, to unite the people of theOverworld against the piglin invasion. The game emphasizes strategy development and resource management, while encouraging cooperation and communication between players to defeat their opponents.
The developers promise a campaign full of surprises for newcomers and Minecraft veterans alike, with protagonists requiring the player's help and revelations about the myths of theOverworld. Yesterday's enemies become allies, such as Creepers that turn into formidable walking bombs, or skeletons and zombies that become powerful soldiers.
Note that Minecraft Legends also features an online cooperative multiplayer mode, allowing friends to join together to explore the game's campaigns. A competitive (PvP) mode will also be available, with clashes between two teams of up to four players on randomly generated maps. Piglins, described as fun villains, will add a touch of comedy to the adventure.
