Sonic Racing: Crossworld: the cross-dimensional racing game now available

It's time to shift into supersonic gear: Sega unveils a new racing game with Sonic and friends. The trailer, unveiled at the State of play in February 2025, reveals a colorful game, with a little unexpected effect that should make these races memorable... Sonic Racing: Crossworld was released on September 25, 2025 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC. A Switch 2 version is planned at a later date.

Sega's latest creation, however, brings a little extra excitement and difficulty to your single-player, local or multiplayer tournaments. 23 iconic characters from the Sonic saga can be found on different terrains... The game features 24 main racetracks and 15 different worlds. To move from world to world, players must cross special rings scattered around the course. By switching worlds at the right moment, you can shake up the competition and take advantage of the special features of each world.

To spice up the competition even further, 23 items can be used during the race, to increase your advantage... Or hurt your opponents.

The title features a classic game mode, three multiplayer modes (grand prix, race park and time attack), as well as challenges and a "frenzy mode".
