The trailer for Cronos: the new dawn :

Cronos: the new dawn synopsis:

"Set in a sinister universe where Eastern European brutalism meets retrofuturistic technology, Cronos: The New Dawn offers a gripping story halfway between the past and the future. In the past, you'll discover a world in the grip of the Change, a cataclysmic event that changed humanity forever. As for the future, it will plunge you into a struggle for survival against dangerous abominations that will test your reflexes and tactical thinking in a ravaged, desert environment. You are a traveler in the service of the enigmatic Collective, charged with scouring the wastelands of the future in search of temporal rifts that can take you back to 1980s Poland. "

The trailer shows us a strange character, somewhere between an astronaut and an old-fashioned scuba diver. In this retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic aesthetic, you'll have to use both your wits and your strength to stay alive and repair the past.

Monsters, from failed mutations to zombies, await you around every corner. Sensitive souls beware: these creatures aren't pretty to look at, and neither is the damage they can do to you. While the trailer remains mysterious, it seems that we're sailing between eras, to save the world from devastation.

We move from past to future, from one chapter to the next, and the story of this apocalypse is completed as we go along.

Our test of Cronos: the new dawn:

We were able to test the game for 30 minutes on PS5, during a preview.

The game begins with an intriguing cinematic: our character is strapped into some sort of damaged spaceship, and has to answer some puzzling questions, which set a disturbing but gripping mood.

The first moments of exploration allow us to learn the game's controls, and reveal a destroyed world, where an invisible menace has wiped out the human race. All along the way, warning messages appear, warning players that dangerous creatures lurk nearby. The game's soundtrack further accentuates this sense of danger: from the very first moments, Cronos: the new dawn successfully immerses us in an eerie atmosphere.

In fact, a slight sense of dread quickly sets in, with monsters and violent creatures lurking around every corner. The beginning of the game, however, is content to let us discover this strange world, solving various puzzles to advance from room to room.

Resources are limited in this game, so you need to keep your cool and use a little imagination to get past certain challenges. In particular, bullets for your weapon are a little too rare in the game, especially when creatures spring from behind a door... Combat is not particularly difficult, but it can quickly drain your resources. So take time to explore the world, to find all the provisions hidden in the corners.

Sensitive souls beware: the creatures are deformed, and can be as frightening as they are repulsive. What's more, Cronos: the new dawn is a horror game, and that title is well-deserved. For experienced gamers, then. But if this genre appeals to you, you won't be disappointed...

These intriguing first images have captured our attention and titillated our curiosity. Who's ready to follow us in this brand-new survival game?
