Chaumet lifts the veil on the art of the diadem. From October 16 to 18, 2026, a free tour will allow visitors to explore its townhouse on Place Vendôme and its jewellery-making know-how, as part of the LVMH Journées Particulières.

You don’t need a crown to walk through Chaumet’s door. From October 16 to 18, 2026, the Journées Particulières offer free access to iconic spaces within the LVMH group and the craftsmanship behind them. Under the theme Aux Racines du Rêve, this sixth edition guides visitors through 46 Maisons, 69 sites and 12 countries. At 12 place Vendôme, the focus is on one of Chaumet’s historic signatures: the tiara and all the gestures, gold and stones needed to bring it to life.

Chaumet’s story goes back to 1780 and soon became closely linked with the great names at the imperial court. As jeweler to Empress Joséphine, the House made the diadem one of its emblematic motifs, imagining thousands through the ages. It was also the first jewelry house to settle on Place Vendôme, in 1812, before Joseph Chaumet chose No. 12 and the Hôtel Baudard de Saint-James in 1907. Behind its façade today lie the boutique, the High Jewelry workshop and historic salons, including the Salon Chopin, a listed Monument historique, where the composer wrote his final work.

For the 2026 Journées Particulières, 12 Vendôme reveals the workings behind the crown. Guided by Joséphine’s legacy, the route traces the birth of a diadem—from nature’s treasures to the artisans’ motions. Drawing, goldsmithing, and gemstone setting: visitors approach the stages that shape these pieces and discover a savoir-faire Chaumet has honed for more than two centuries.

Chaumet's 2026 Special Days program:

  • Visit to the Townhouse at 12 Place Vendôme focused on the art of the tiara : a glimpse into Chaumet’s world, its heritage, and the backstage of creation, with a journey through gold, gemstones, and the craft of haute joaillerie—from sketch to setting.
