The Champs-Élysées Christmas market is returning to Paris after a ten-year absence! From November 22, 2026, to January 4, 2027, visitors will find 200 chalets in the avenue’s gardens, along with new activities that are sure to delight families in particular.

The Champs-Élysées had kept its holiday lights, but lost its chalets. Ten years later, the two are back together! The Champs-Élysées Christmas market makes its grand return from November 22, 2026, to January 4, 2027, opening on the same day as the Christmas lights are switched on. This time, the setting has changed: 200 chalets will take over the newly renovated gardens in the lower section of the avenue, between Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Élysées roundabout, in the 8th arrondissement. The event is organized by the Comité Champs-Élysées and 2A Organisation, which also run the Christmas markets in La Défense and Boulogne.

The 2026 Christmas markets are back in Paris and Île-de-France, with their wooden chalets, festive treats and gift ideas. Here’s a look at the confirmed dates for the winter 2026-2027, from the capital to the surrounding departments. [Read more]

When it comes to gifts, take your time browsing. From jewelry, decorations, books and toys, 22 chalets will showcase craftsmanship, traditional skills and “Made in Paris.” Organizers also say that at least 80% of vendors will offer French products. Even the food breaks must meet the event’s standards: 100% organic flour, French meat, French mulled wine made by maceration rather than infusion, and at least one vegetarian option at every food chalet. Throughout, priority will be given to short supply chains.

For families, head to Place Clemenceau, where children can swap shopping for a few rides on the carousel. A stone’s throw from the Pavillon Ledoyen, an approximately 312 m² rink made of real natural ice will welcome visitors of all ages. A Santa’s house, an illuminations-themed photo booth and activities will round out the program. And after dark, the chalets will extend the spectacle of the Champs-Élysées Christmas lights, with dynamic lighting effects and synchronized sound.

All that remains is to choose when to stroll along the aisles. The Champs-Élysées Christmas market will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday to Sunday. Two exceptions to note in your diary: on December 24, the chalets will close at 8 p.m., while on December 31, the market will remain closed.
