Too many objects, moving too fast, looking too alike? La Gaîté Lyrique poses the question with a free exhibition to explore during Paris Design Week, from September 10 to 14, 2026.

Each autumn, Paris Design Week puts contemporary creation in the spotlight across the city. For ten days, designers, studios, houses and emerging talents showcase their projects in galleries, institutions, studios and even in public spaces. It’s an opportunity to see new ideas take shape, to follow how practices and materials evolve, and to meet the people who are shaping design today. Much of the route is free, inviting curiosity to do the rest, from September 10 to 19, 2026.

At the Gaîté Lyrique, the tone is set from the very title: Everything is Chaos. From September 10 to 14, 2026, this free exhibition presented by Pli Office and curated by Christopher Dessus tackles a question that stings a bit: in our rush to make everything useful, accessible and available, have we perhaps learned to produce too much, too fast, and too alike? In the face of accumulation and standardization, the designers gathered here seek to restore desire, attachment, and a touch of character to our everyday objects. matali crasset, Atelier Fomenta, Julien Carretero, Pinaffo et Pluvinage, Odd Matter, Samy Rio, Maria Jeglinska-Adamczewska, and Cluzel / Pluchon thus imagine objects crafted to last differently and to foster stronger attachment.

A reminder that better production can begin with producing less.
