The Saint-Jean de Beauregard estate is a sublime treasure of Île-de-France heritage that awaits us in Essonne. Its historic château is surrounded by a green park labeled a remarkable garden that serves, among other things, as the backdrop for a flagship crafts event. Every year, at the dawn of summer, the Fête de la Création et des Métiers d'Art—now rebaptized Artisania—invades the domain. For this edition, the gathering is set for the weekend of June 12–14, 2026.
The Château de Saint-Jean de Beauregard and its Remarkable Garden
The Château de Saint-Jean de Beauregard, located in Essonne in the Parc Naturel Régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, is a remarkably well-preserved 19th-century château classified as a historic monument. Visitors flock here to discover the grounds, and in particular the Potager, which has been awarded the Jardin Remarquable label. [Read more]
To mark the occasion, around 80 designers and artists will share their craft with the public. Leather goods, jewelry, ceramics, painting, lighting, furniture, home decor, and children's toys—artisans from all backgrounds have gathered here to offer one-of-a-kind pieces that suit every budget. And that's not all: this weekend is also filled with workshops and demonstrations for young and old, shining a spotlight on techniques and methods that are sometimes forgotten. Prize awards, decided by a jury as well as by the audience, will also recognize the designers who stand out in this edition.
The Fête de la Création et des Métiers d'Art is also an opportunity to visit the sublime grounds of the Saint-Jean de Beauregard estate, with access to the event also allowing visitors to discover the garden, the dovecote and the famous flowering kitchen garden. Please note, however, that the château is not open to visitors during the event.
