Are you passionate about history and literature? Here’s a great way to enjoy both. The Historical Novel Festival is coming to Levallois City Hall on November 14 and 15, 2026. This literary event, dedicated to history, invites the public to immerse themselves in fascinating books—from novels and narratives to essays, comic books and biographies—at free book signings, debates and activities.
Many authors and illustrators from all walks of life will be there over these two days, including Adélaïde de Clermont-Tonnerre, Dominique Missika, Vincent Jaury, Serge Raffy, Patricia Tourancheau, David Naïm, Tobie Nathan, Christophe Boltanski, Colombe Schneck, Paul Greveillac, Aurélien Bellanger, Nora Hamadi, Romain Slocombe... These authors will explore a wide range of themes, from antiquity to the present day, in a variety of formats designed to appeal to all readers.
Alongside talks and book signings, visitors can enjoy panel discussions, creative workshops for all ages, and in-depth interviews that offer a chance to discover historical periods and major figures from the past.
This edition of the Historical Novel Festival pays tribute to André Malraux, marking the 50th anniversary of his death. This historic figure is at the heart of a dedicated program that offers a closer look at the French writer, Resistance fighter and politician.
In Levallois, history comes to life through books! Don’t miss this must-see literary festival. What’s more, it’s free —so there’s no excuse to miss it!
