AKAA - Also known as Africa is the most important contemporary African art fair in Paris. The fair showcases artists and galleries from all over the African continent: committed creators, young talents, artists who keep their country's traditions alive and others who like to break codes and invent new ways of seeing the world... AKAA also welcomes French artists from the African diaspora, to share their different experiences and enrich their artistic careers.
The AKAA fair is back at the Carreau du Temple, from October 23 to 25, 2026, for a new edition that promises fresh encounters and discoveries. On this occasion, AKAA offers a rich, eclectic program, including exhibitions, installations, and curatorial projects... More than 70 artists are expected for this Paris edition.

In this 2026 edition, the AKAA fair puts the spotlight on photography, marking the bicentenaire de la photographie. Visitors will find a dedicated space for this art within the route. This edition also centers on paper, a flexible and versatile creative medium that can be used in many ways.
