The 48 Hours of Obstacle Racing combines horse racing with mountain-themed activities. Laser biathlon, a mechanical surfboard and team challenges round out the sporting program.

48H de l’Obstacle brings together hurdle and steeplechase races in a program of 16 races. The Prix La Haye Jousselin, run over 5,500 meters, is one of the highlights of this racing event. The course includes two crossings of the Rivière des Tribunes.

Mountain-inspired challenges

Alongside the races, France Galop and Val Thorens are offering several activities: a laser biathlon simulator, a mechanical board that challenges participants to keep their balance, and a group experience devised by Human Experience. The latter invites participants to make decisions in the face of a simulated avalanche.

A balance-bike course is planned for children. The program also includes a photo booth with mountain-themed props and a makeup workshop inspired by the marks left by ski goggles.

Mountain specialties will be available in the dining areas. The panoramic restaurant will also reopen for the event, alongside the food trucks.
