After four years of transformation, the Ken Club is welcoming sports enthusiasts back with redesigned spaces and a wider range of classes. Founded in 1985 by Mireille and Pierre Benzaquen, the club retains nods to its early days: bright colors, curves and details inspired by the 1980s.
Architects Rodolphe Parente and Marion Mailaender worked together on the transformation. A concrete staircase, a counter with rounded forms and colorful changing rooms make up the new design. Denis Valode also contributed to the project with glass roofs that let natural light into the building.
The club is adding an Athletic Studio and a cycling studio equipped with LED lighting. The cardio and strength-training area has been expanded, while micro Lagree has been added to the schedule. The club says it will offer more than 150 hours of classes per week.
Recovery comes in the form of saunas, steam rooms and cold baths designed with Polar Plunge. The approximately 20-meter-long pool is connected by elevator to a solarium garden spanning more than 1,500 sq. m. The Dagim restaurant, created by Assaf Granit, completes the offering with Mediterranean cuisine and a terrace overlooking the garden.
