Fitness enthusiasts looking for unique spots to work out automatically think of the Annette K. barge and its stunning pool! A new location just opened in Montparnasse, offering a more urban setting that’s less spectacular than the floating dock — since it’s not on the water — all thoughtfully designed by Maison Sarah Lavoine, to give you even more disciplines to try and embrace!
Tucked away in a charming courtyard just a stone’s throw from the Montparnasse Tower, discover a versatile space spread across three levels. Here, you can try your hand at climbing, challenge yourself with a game of squash, or hop onto an indoor cycling. There are also group classes to join, plus a cozy coffee shop and restaurant with panoramic windows overlooking the athletes—perfect for recharging in a healthy way after an intense workout!
For squash enthusiasts, four brand-new courts are ready and waiting for you to sweat it out in friendly matches or tournaments, racket in hand. Available for booking all week long, sessions start at just 24 euros. Every Friday evening, the facility hosts open squash events open to everyone, with prior registration required.
Looking to elevate your fitness? Head to Climbing District, the indoor climbing gym featuring around fifty routes ranging from 8 to 15 meters high. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned climber, all are welcome—practice solo, with coaching, or with friends—all for just 24 euros. The space, illuminated by a glass ceiling, offers the thrill of climbing with stunning sky views and a sense of expanded space.
A spacious cardio and strength training area offers plenty of space to work out beneath a stunning glass roof, complemented by a dedicated cycling studio and an underground-themed room for group classes. Here, you can dive into activities such as Hyrøx, Pilates, CrossTraining, yoga, RPM, and Body Balance. An upcoming wellness zone is also on the horizon.
Sessions are obviously cheaper if you buy a book of 10 or 20 sessions, which also allows you to book tickets for the swimming pool in Javel. Like there, the venue is not just a huge gym, it is also a lively, festive place with a program of events to follow on their website, including workshops, concerts, tournaments, and other activities.
An ideal gym if you enjoy switching up your workouts regularly to keep things interesting, though perhaps less so if you prefer intimate, small spaces or single-sport clubs. During peak hours, it can get busy, but the upside is that there's plenty of room to spread out thanks to the extensive variety of options available.
