The free Léo Lagrange swimming pool in the 12th arrondissement of Paris is back for summer 2025.

How about a free swimming pool? It's possible, and right in Paris! The Léo Lagrange open-air pool is one of the capital's most popular summertime freebies, and this summer of 2025 is no exception. With its shaded terraces, misting parks and water jets, and the beautiful open-air swimming pools in Paris, particularly the free ones in the Ile-de-France region, Parisians are well equipped to face the heat.

And for several summers now, free pools and basins have been set up by the town hall for everyone. While we all remember the famous Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement, the Espace Léo Lagrange (12th arrondissement) also has its own pool, with water treated just like in a swimming pool!

Open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., from July 5 to August 31, 2025, this well-supervised pool is also accessible to people with reduced mobility. Please note that children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Initiated in 2019, this 150m2 demountable pool, with a depth of 90 cm, is particularly suitable for children. The Mairie du 12ème arrondissement specifies that the pool " has been designed for family use and fun ". In partnership with the city's sports department and associations, the Mairie du 12e is putting on a program of aquatic and land-based activities, so you're sure to have a great time in the 12th arrondissement this summer!

For everyone's comfort, there are changing rooms, showers and a nearby solarium for sunbathing on deckchairs.
