Of course, we all dream of escaping our confined lives for a while and going on a hike to stretch our legs. This time, Helloways takes you on a tour of the forests and countryside around Paris.
Here are our favourites:
9.2km loop - 2h15 walking time. Accessible by RER B, "Bures-sur-Yvette" stop
To start with, you'll discover the Fauvettes viaduct, a former railway bridge offering a magnificent view over the valley. You'll pass through the peaceful forests on the heights of Gometz-le-Châtel.
12.1 km from station to station - 3h walk. Accessible by Transilien line R, "Montigny-sur-Loing" or "Nemours St-Pierre" stop.
How about lounging by the water? This time, it's the Loign, the unspoilt river of the Île-de-France region, which will accompany your hike. A relaxing stroll along the river and through the fields, all the way to Nemours.
Station to station 32 km - 2 days' walk. Accessible by Transilien line R, stop "Melun" or "Fontainebleau - Avon".
This microadventure lives up to its name... How about a little break in the heart of the Fontainebleau forest? 32 km of walking to enjoy nature, far from the stress of the capital. Pines, sandstone boulders and a small village will accompany you from Melun to Fontainebleau.
12.4 km loop - 3h30 walking time. Accessible by RER D, "La Borne Blanche" stop
On the border of the Île-de-France region, this magnificent hike takes you to the magnificent Commelle ponds. Fresh air through fields and forests.

Here's a short hike for the whole family in the hills above Mézy-sur-Seine. Pass through pretty little streets before taking in the panoramic views from the paths and returning along the Seine.
Also, for those who want to find a hiking buddy or propose group outings, while respecting social distancing and barrier gestures (don't forget!), you can join Rando & Co 🐿 - Ile-de-France, the Facebook group for Ile-de-France hikers.
