Not everyone will be able to watch the French Open at Porte d'Auteuil... But in France, the clay-court tennis tournament is broadcast live. Once again this year, France Télévisions has to share the cake with Amazon Prime Video, Amazon's streaming service, to broadcast the Grand Slam tournament. But how are the matches divided between the two channels?
Prime Video has seen its share diminish over the years, and now only broadcasts the 11 evening sessions, with the match of the day starting at 8.15pm on the Philippe-Chatrier court, from the first Sunday of the tournament up to and including the Wednesday of the second week. The vast majority of matches are broadcast on France Télévisions channels, France 2, France 3 and France 4, from 11 a.m. until early evening.
On the other hand, the two platforms will co-broadcast live the semi-finals and finals of the men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and the mixed doubles final. Easy to remember: the day's matches on France TV, the evening sessions on Prime Video! It's also possible to follow the matches on France TV Sport's various digital media, from your smartphone, tablet or computer.
