Women's Tour de France: how much will the race winner earn?

All top sportsmen and women go home with a handsome sum after a victory in their sport. After 12 years without a women's Tour de France, 2022 was the year the riders returned! This time, nine stages awaited the cyclists before they received their prizes, on Sunday August 3, 2025, according to their ranking. Mountain classification, team classification, stage prizes, polka-dot jerseys - the possibilities foradding up rewards and sums of money are numerous during the race.

But the women are not yet on the same footing as the men, and the bonuses are much lower, ten times less than their counterparts. This is due to the number of stages, divided by three, but also to a different kind of enthusiasm, less profitable in terms of TV rights, even if this year's French victory brought in many extra viewers. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, the winner of the women's Tour de France, will receive 50,000 euros, one zero less than the men's winner.
