A dry-cutting specialist since 2003, Michel Brosseau's salon, just a stone's throw from Parc Monceau, excels in customer care and the mastery of its hairdressers and colorists.

From line 2, you can reach the Michel Brosseau hair salon via the Parc Monceau, just a stone's throw away. A short, bucolic stroll through the alleys of this verdant 8th arrondissement park plunges us into a state of relaxation; a soothing first step to an equally soothing moment in the salon.

It's been over 20 years since Michel Brosseau, artistic creator and hairdresser by trade, opened his salon in this chic, quiet corner of Paris. Over the years, this hair maestro has surrounded himself with a loyal team of hairdressers, stylists and colorists among the best in the business.

More than a team, this family has made Michel Brosseau's salon a friendly melting pot where it's good to learn and stay, some having been part of the team for 20 years. Michel Brosseau has announced that he is handing over his salon to Marie and Hugo, whom he trained and in whom he has placed his full trust.

It's a gentle, good-humored handover, so as not to ruffle the feathers of the salon's regulars, some of whom have passed on the address from generation to generation - the salon has seen mothers, daughters and granddaughters come and go. They all come here for a moment of well-being in a friendly atmosphere, far from the idea of the neighborhood. Divided into 3 areas - the cuts on a central island, the tubs in the continuity, the colors at the back - the salon lets you see what's going on in the mirror next door and contemplate the dance of the specialists.

Michel Brosseau is one of the few hairdressers in Paris to cut hair dry, and every hairdresser in the salon has been trained in this method. It's a surprising way of doing things, but one that has many advantages: as soon as you arrive at the salon, the hairdresser can judge the texture of the hair (the salon also deals with frizzy and curly hair) and the natural cut, and cut accordingly.

A true artistic gesture, precise and graceful, dry cutting also allows customers to see the cut being created before their very eyes, without waiting to go through the shampoo, care and coloring stages. We let ourselves be carried away by the good advice, to the sound of a minimalist playlist, a complimentary glass of tea in hand. Hugo circles us, making precise gestures, and it's fascinating to watch.

Then it's time for the balayage, and once again, we let Léon do it with our eyes closed, gracing us with his colorist's mastery and giving his apprentice some good advice. A Metal Detox shampoo and a patina later, we're out the door. Relaxed, delighted to have met such wonderful people and delighted with our new haircut. The next generation is undeniably assured.

This test was conducted as part of a professional invitation. If your experience differs from ours, please mention it in the comments.
