The Rambouillet 2025 Half Marathon returns this Sunday: the course

The Rambouillet Half Marathon returns this Sunday, March 16, 2025 for its 37ᵉ edition. Nearly 3,000 participants are expected for this not-to-be-missed event in the Yvelines, once again selling out. On the menu: a course mixing city and nature, a warm atmosphere and a major sporting challenge.

The RambouilletHalf Marathon attracts a large audience every year, and 2025 is no exception. In just two months, all places have been allocated, confirming its growing success. Runners will start from the Stade du Vieux-Moulin, the emblematic starting and finishing point. This event, which qualifies for the French Championships, will also decide the title of Yvelines champion.

The route :

The route takes in some of Rambouillet's most emblematic landmarks before heading into the national forest. Runners will follow the wooded paths to Le Perray-en-Yvelines, then return to the town via theracecourse, the Eveuses cemetery and the municipal swimming pool. An experience that combines physical effort and landscape discovery.

The organization relies on over 300 volunteers, mainly from the Rambouillet Olympique. Their commitment is essential to ensure the smooth running of the event. However, there is a worrying trend: the average age of volunteers is rising, and fewer and fewer young people are getting involved.

In terms of performances, this 37th edition could make history, with Antoine Rondot, already a three-time winner, aiming for a fourth title , according to Actu.fr. On the women's side, there are no clear front-runners, suggesting that the competition will be tight. The half-marathon also promises to be an international race, with no fewer than 22 nationalities represented.

For spectators, Rambouillet offers numerous activities to enhance the day. Between a visit to the Château de Rambouillet, a walk in the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse nature park or a gourmet break in the town center, the experience promises to be as rich as it is sporty.
