Take part in the new edition of Monuments en (pleine) forme to get moving at places where visitors usually linger rather than keep a rhythm! On May 30 and 31, 2026, around ten monuments in the Paris region will join in, including the Château de Maisons-Laffite in the Yvelines. A fun, family-friendly way to burn energy in exceptional settings, but don’t forget to book in advance to ensure you can access the event.
Monuments in top form: period dance, yoga, fencing… activities that blend sport and heritage
National Monuments get into the sports scene and invite you, on May 30–31, 2026, to get back in shape in exceptional venues, mixing mini-golf, yoga, fencing, period dance, and nature hikes among the castles and institutions of Paris and Île-de-France! [Read more]
From 2 to 5 pm, ditch the gym and dive into the elegance of the 18th century for a initiation to period dance that promises to tone your posture as much as your breathing. For one afternoon, the château offers an immersive journey through the Ancien Régime. Visitors are invited to learn the basic steps, the bows, and the figures that animated the balls of high society, guided by a dance master.
You don’t have to be a dancer to join; curiosity and a good mood are the only prerequisites to learn the court’s iconic moves for a moment out of time. Wear comfortable shoes to make the class more enjoyable. Expect to pay 7.5 to 9 euros to participate, from age 6.
