Pole dance, a discipline that combines dance and high-level acrobatic figures around a vertical metal bar, will be putting on a real show on June 3, 2023, at La Cigale. Considered an aerial art form and a sport in its own right, Pole Dance has been featured in cabaret and Cirque du Soleil shows, and is back for the 14th French Pole Dance Championship, featuring the country's finest dancers!
Under the aegis of the Fédération Française de Danse, this competition helps to promote and develop the sport in France, while taking advantage of the ever-evolving level and style of these acrobatic dancers, who are highly creative because they come from a variety of backgrounds, some of them circus dancers or gymnasts! Far from the clichéd connotations associated with bars, pole dancing is a highly graceful discipline that is gaining an ever-growing following among both men and women.
This evening, which will give the medallists the opportunity of the evening to qualify for the World Pole Arts Championships, invites you to admire live exceptional performances, in different age categories, through this show in its own right, more than a sporting competition.
