Every year, the Eurovision Song Contest pulls millions of viewers in front of their screens, eagerly awaiting the results. Last year, Austrian artist JJ took home the top prize with his song "Wasted Love".
This spring, the city of Vienna in Austria hosts the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, with the grand final scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026. Unfortunately, not all 35 contestants will make it to the final. Out of this year's 35 competing countries, 30 will face off in the two semi-finals set for May 12 and 14. Each semi-final will feature 15 acts, with the top 15 from the first and the top 15 from the second advancing. After these rounds, 20 countries will be chosen to join the finalists, alongside the "Big Four" — Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom (Spain is not participating this year) — as well as the host country, Austria.
