After several years' absence from the capital, The Who is finally making a comeback! For this eagerly-awaited comeback, the legendary British rock band has chosen to take over Europe's largest indoor venue for the very first time, the Paris La Défense Arena, located in the Hauts-de-Seine department. The program for this unique Parisian concert, scheduled for Friday June 23, 2023? A return to the past, thanks to the band's many hits, led by singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend. Accompanied for the occasion by a full orchestra, The Who will be performing a number of their hits live, including " Baba O'Riley ", " The Kids Are Alright " and " Won't Get Fooled Again ".

In the meantime, the Paris La Défense Arena has revealed all the practical and useful information you need to know in order to best prepare for your visit.

First of all, the (general public) doors of the Paris La Défense Arena will open at 6pm, with access to the food and beverage stands, as well as the merchandising stands. VIP doors open at 7pm.

What about the opening act? The Who has decided to invite The Arrogants. Hailing from Lille, this French band will be showing what they're made of this Friday night! Join us at 8pm for the opening act.

Please note that Paris La Défense Arena has several different entrances, depending on your place in the hall. Therefore, " the colored access indicated on your ticket (yellow, red or purple) will help you to find your way around, but does not represent a compulsory passage point for screening ", explains the Paris La Défense Arena, which advises you to go directly to the entrances indicated below:

  • Entrances to levels 1 and 4 are as indicated on your ticket.
  • VIP entrances 21, 39 and 55 will be open.
  • For people with disabilities and reduced mobility, access will be via entrance 38 for level 1 tickets, and via entrance 56 for level 4 tickets.

Finally, the Paris La Défense Arena website provides a list of prohibited items at concerts, "in accordance with legislation governing establishments open to the public ". These include " any bulky object or object that presents a danger to others or to oneself ", such as rigid umbrellas, motorcycle helmets, megaphones, foghorns, scooters, skates, rollerblades, backpacks larger than 20 liters, or water bottles larger than 0.5 liters.

" Backpacks with a volume of less than 20 liters are authorized, as are water bottles with a volume of 50 cl or less ," the venue points out.

Finally, once you've had your fill of The Who's greatest hits, it's time to head back home, via La Défense station (Line 1 / RER A) if you're heading back to Paris.

For all other directions, go to La Défense station for Transilien lines L and T2. " If you're taking public transport to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy and Poissy, you can get to Nanterre Préfecture station and take the RER A," adds Paris La Défense Arena.
