The Lorient Interceltic Festival, considered the world's largest Celtic gathering, is a must-see music event held every summer in Brittany's Morbihan region. It is scheduled to come to a close on August 10, 2025, after 10 days of festivities dedicated to Celtic music.
Inviting its "American cousins" this year, the Lorient Interceltic Festival once again offers a host of concerts in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Bagad de Lann-Bihoué, Alan Stivell, Lynda Lemay, Luz Casal, The Kilkennys and Red Cardell are just some of the artists on the program for this 2025 edition. For those who can't make it, there's good news: France 3 will be broadcasting the now-famous Grand Spectacle du Festival interceltique de Lorient on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 9:10pm.
Directed by Julien Faustino and presented by Cyril Féraud, this musical evening invites viewers to plunge into a unique atmosphere featuring the best of Celtic traditions. On the program? A show billed as"breathtaking", featuring Breton Bagadoù, pipe bands from Scotland and Ireland, and dance groups and bandas from Galicia and Asturias. Plunge into the heart of Celtic culture with the most beautiful Celtic tunes, sung by artists from all over the world, not forgetting the best of Celtic dance...
For those less familiar with the Lorient Interceltic Festival, the Grand Spectacle takes place every summer at the Stade du Moustoir, bringing together some 500 artists and musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Galicia, Asturias and, of course, Brittany. It's an opportunity to experience an incredible immersion in Celtic culture through unique performances.
