Like every summer, Morbihan is getting ready to host the Lorient Interceltic Festival, considered the world's largest gathering of Celts. Running from August 1 to 10, 2025, this 54th edition of the Festival interceltique de Lorient will feature the "Cousins of America". Numerous concerts are scheduled for the occasion, including those by the ever-popular Alan Stivell, as well as Lynda Lemay, Solas, Luz Casal, The Kilkennys and Red Cardell.
The 2025 edition of the Lorient Interceltic Festival will also feature a number of key events, including the grand parade of Celtic nations. Every summer, over 3,000 artists from Brittany, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Galicia, Asturias and even the United States parade through the streets of Lorient in costume and music, to the rhythm of bagpipes and bombards.
Discover Bagad de Lann-Bihoué, Bagad Kemper, Bagad Melinerion, Bagadoù du Pays de Lorient, Bagad Bro Landerne, Bagad New York, Interceltic Scottish Pipe Band and The City of Limerick Pipe Band.
For those who can't make it, there's good news! France Télévisions, partner of the event, has announced that this grand parade of Celtic nations will be broadcast on Sunday August 3, 2025 from 3:15 pm on France 3 and france.tv. Journalist Laurent Luyat will take you through this not-to-be-missed event, the highlight of the Lorient Interceltic Festival.
