Théâtre de la Ville - Sarah Bernhardt celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. Named after the events that took place in Portugal in April 1974, this event led to the fall of the Salazarist dictatorship. Throughout this period of dictatorship, many artists campaigned against the regime and its oppression. The Théâtre de la Ville - Sarah Bernhardt will be paying tribute to these artists this spring with a rich and varied program of performances by young Portuguese artists.
To be discovered both on the Place du Châtelet and in the lobby of the Parisian theater, this program puts the beautiful Portuguese culture in the spotlight with traditional songs, intervention songs, contemporary music, a dance ball and exhibitions... all brought to life by great names from the Portuguese artistic scene such as Sopa de Pedra, B Fachada and Tchiss Lopes.
On the Place du Châtelet and in the hall of the Théâtre de la Ville - Sarah Bernhardt, the program is free and accessible to all on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024. Here's the program!
