BTS: a new album in 2026 followed by a world tour?

On Tuesday July 1, 2025, the 7 members of BTS got together for the very first time since their compulsory military service, during a Weverse livestream. The famous South Korean K-pop group confirmed the release of a new album in 2026. BTS also announced plans for a world tour.

Since the end of compulsory military service for the members of K-pop group BTS, fans have been getting their hopes up again, already dreaming of a new opus and a return to the stage by their favorite group. And their wishes may come true sooner than they think. On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the seven members of BTS appeared before the eyes of Internet users during a Weverse livestream, the famous online fan platform owned by Hybe, BTS's management company. This live appearance by the 7 members of the South Korean band was the first of its kind since September 2022.

And it's safe to say that Jin, RM, V, Jimin, J-Hope, Jung Kook and Suga delighted their fans during this Weverse livestream. As relayed by several media, including NME and CNN, the K-pop group have confirmed that they will soon be working on a new album. " We'll be releasing a new BTS album next spring. From July onwards, we will start working closely together on new songs," said the group in a statement. According to the same statement, BTS are due to travel to the U.S. this month to begin work on new material. Good news, then, for fans eager to discover the album that will succeed"Be", the latest studio opus to date, released in 2020.
